Meet Maria Magaliou

Maria Magaliou received her education at the National Bank of Greece's College, where she successfully completed the Diploma in Business Administration with a specialisation in Marketing and Public Relations. Subsequently, she earned a degree in Political Science and Governance from the Democritus University of Thrace, graduating with honours. Later, she completed her Master's in International Relations at the University of Kent, Brussels School of International Studies in 2012-2013.

She has extensive experience in independent research, content writing, and expertise in the fields of politics, communication, and public relations, among other skills. Maria is a professional with a creative inclination and a solution-oriented approach.

As a Communications Specialist at AETHON Engineering, she brings over a decade of experience in policy analysis, advocacy, and public relations to the dynamic intersection of engineering and society. Armed with an MA in International Relations, she has cultivated a deep understanding of European public health, environmental, and agricultural policies, alongside EU affairs, through rigorous research and analysis. Her experience as a Policy and Communication Adviser for a Member of the Hellenic Parliament adds a strategic edge to my approach.

Creative and solution-oriented, Maria has honed her strong analytical and storytelling skills to drive impactful content. Proficient in political analysis, communication planning, and campaign development, she specialises in both offline and online event management and social media strategy.

Fueled by a passion for world politics and the EU arena, she is a dedicated team player who values collaboration, diversity, and innovation. Her fervor extends equally to the realms of circular economy and sustainability, as she firmly believes in our collective ability to forge a brighter future for generations to come.

Within KEYSTONE…

Maria is the Communications Specialist of AETHON and thus the creative mind behind AETHON’s dissemination and communication actions. She is responsible for the regular publication of social media posts and articles that disseminate and promote the project KEYSTONE and enable the smooth transfer of knowledge and interesting outcomes to the public. In collaboration with the Project Manager, she also generates promotional material for the project, reviews and finalises material generated by the Project Manager, creates visuals for the broader audience, as well as monitors social media platforms, trends and impressions to ensure that the respective KPIs are reached. She is also responsible for the organisation of events to be held and/or attending key events such as speeches, workshops and conferences, to ensure that awareness is raised and the stakeholders that are targeted can have knowledge of the project and the benefits it aims to deliver to them.
