Meet Sabino Metta

Sabino Metta graduated in Physics (2004) from the University of Turin (Italy) and took his doctorate (2008) from the CIMA Research Foundation and the University of Bailicata. After a post-doctoral fellowship at the National Research Council of Italy and a short experience as a teacher, he joined RAI Radiotelevisione Italiana (2011) where he served as researcher, technology expert and business analyst. His main interests have been in the manipulation of data for supporting heterogeneous activities like data-driven journalism, audience insights and recommendation systems.

He has been a member of international groups (EBU and MPEG) contributing to the standardisation process of multimedia content descriptions. He has joined several European and national-funded projects. Today, he works at Cefriel supporting research and innovation projects.
