From 4-6 September 2024, Greece hosted the 7th Conference on Sustainable Mobility (CSuM2024), organised by the University of Thessaly through the Traffic, Transport, and Logistics Laboratory (TTLog) and the Infrastructure, Technology Policy, and Development Research Unit of the University of Thessaly.

The conference brought together researchers, industry professionals, transport and logistics innovation centres, and public and private entities to discuss the opportunities and challenges in creating resilient and sustainable transport systems.

Among the participants were members of the KEYSTONE Project, in which the Spanish Road Association (AEC) participates, alongside the Transport Research Center of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Transyt.

Financed by the European Union (EU) under the Horizon Europe research program, the Keystone Project was launched in June 2023 to develop intelligent and digitized solutions aimed at making transport operations more sustainable and efficient.

The project, whose acronym stands for Knowledgeable Comprehensive and Fully Integrated Smart Solutions for Resilient, Sustainable, and Optimized Transport Operations, brings together 15 entities from six countries under the umbrella of the European Commission (EC), which oversees the project.
