The company operates in the market through six different business areas which cover all needs of a B2B logistics chain and transport needs. Gruber Logistics has reached 2022 a turnover of 720 million euros which qualifies the company as one of the major Italian transport and logistics companies.

Gruber Logistics is also participating in the DTLF Digital Transport Logistics Forum directly managed by the European Commission as a supporting working group for policy development.

Relevant Background & Expertise

Horizon project ESEP4FREIGHT: The objective of the ESEP4Freight project is therefore to provide freight customers with an overview of the available rail freight services in Europe via a web platform. This will be supported by the creation of a Web Platform based on an existing map developed by SKGV that identifies freight flows with a higher potential for transport by rail.

Horizon Project STRENGHT: The STREnGth_M consortium will contribute significantly to the planning of research and innovation in Europe by identifying future research needs in the field of road transport, by updating and supporting the coordination of strategic research agendas and roadmaps in the field and by facilitating continuous exchange between road transport research related Horizon Europe partnerships and platforms.

Horizon project EMPOWER: EMPOWER addresses in full the expected outcome and scope of the HORIZON-CL5-2022- D5-01-08 topic by delivering two flexible, modular, and scalable zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles (ZE HDV) belonging to the VECTO vehicle group 9 (6x2 rigid trucks), with a gross vehicle weight equal or above 40 tons. One vehicle is powered by a Fuel Cell (FC) system and has a driving range of 750 km, while the other is powered by a battery-electric powertrain, and has a driving range of 400 km.

Horizon project MODI: The introduction of connected, cooperative and automated mobility (CCAM) can make a significant improvement to logistic chains. The MODI project will identify and largely resolve barriers in confined areas and on public roads for SAE L4 CCAM vehicles on the corridor from Rotterdam to Oslo, and demonstrate the solutions.

Horizon project ZEFES I: To accelerate the transition to ZEVs, ZEFES will deliver more efficient, multimodular powertrains, with renewed components, including distributed battery packs in the vehicular prime movers (tractor units or rigid trucks) and trailers targeted the market readiness by 2030. ZEFES will map flexible and abundant charging/fueling points and novel charging concepts across Europe, and it will develop novel tools for fleet management to support the rising number of long-haul BEVs and FCEVs vehicles in the logistics supply chains.
