KEYSTONE Highlights Innovations in Logistics Digitisation at TRA 2024 in Dublin, Ireland
From 15 to 18 April 2024, the KEYSTONE project was present at the Transport Research Arena Conference (TRA), which was held this year in Dublin, Ireland.
TRA is the largest European research and technology conference on transport and mobility. It takes place bi-annually and attracted leading experts and stakeholders from Europe and beyond, this year under the theme “Advancing Sustainable and Inclusive Mobility”.
TRA provided an ideal platform for the KEYSTONE project to showcase its latest accomplishments. The conference also facilitated valuable exchanges with representatives from other EU-funded projects, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the Horizon Europe framework, such as the opportunity to connect with KEYSTONEs sister project SETO and share insights and expertise.

On Monday 15 April 2024, TRA officially started with an electrifying atmosphere, featuring traditional live music and a warm welcome from Dublin's Lord Mayor, Mr Daithi de Rouste.
KEYSTONE, throughout the conference, was present with a dedicated booth at the ALICE Innovation Village (AL 101) showcasing the groundbreaking work and overreaching goal of the project, the creation of a sustainable, efficient and safe transport system, which allows enforcement authorities to access data for compliance checks. Furthermore, the KEYSTONE poster was featured at the TRA Poster Board Area at Simmonscourt Hall. This allowed for greater visibility and engagement with conference participants, facilitating discussions and exchanges of ideas about the project's objectives and outcomes.

The conference featured several noteworthy sessions with several participation of KEYSTONE project representatives:
On Tuesday, 16 April 2024, Mr Andrea Condotta from Gruber Logistics, took part in Strategic Session 2.3 “Logistics Decarbonisation Champions: Accelerating the Decarbonisation of Freight Transport”. The session underscored the urgent need to embrace low-carbon technologies to reach the targeted emission reductions by 2030. During the session, the importance of collaboration among stakeholders, including governments, industry players, research institutions, and international organisations was highlighted. All participants shared best practices, innovative solutions, and collaborative approaches to optimise supply chain operations, in an attempt to drive collective action toward decarbonising freight transport. The abovementioned resulted in four pivotal proposals that have been directed to the European Commission for additional research on transport and decarbonisation.
