Meet KEYSTONE at the 7th CSuM Conference in Karditsa, Greece

We are thrilled to announce that the KEYSTONE project will be present at the 7th Conference on Sustainable Mobility 2024, (CSuM) on 4-6 September 2024, taking place at Plastira’s Lake in Karditsa, Greece.

This prestigious conference brings together key experts in sustainable mobility and transport innovation, providing a great opportunity for KEYSTONE to showcase its recent activities and milestones achieved.

Plastira’s Lake, Karditsa (Greece)

The main objective of the KEYSTONE project is to develop and conceptualise a digital solution that bridges existing gaps and facilitates the digital transformation of European transport, overcoming legacy systems.

It represents a significant advancement towards building data-driven operational capabilities within the European transport ecosystem. By integrating existing platforms and fostering collaboration among various stakeholders, especially in the logistics and law enforcement field, the project aims to create resilient, sustainable, and optimised transport operations. The policy recommendations provided focus on enhancing data literacy and promoting digital leadership to ensure successful implementation and compliance.

Mrs Zoe Petrakou and Mr Charis Koutsis, from Aethon Engineering, will participate in the SCuM Conference and present the paper KEYSTONE: Transforming the European Transport Ecosystem through Data-Driven Strategies, Operations, and Interoperability on 5 September 2024, at 14:30 – 16:30 (CET + 01:00) during the Technical Session 6.2 – “Emerging opportunities and challenges for resilient supply chain”.

The paper is showcasing the findings of Work Package 1 (WP1) which officially ended 12 months after the project's kick-off and defines the state-of-the-art and gap analysis. It is authored by a distinguished team from Coventry University, who led WP1, along with contributions from Aethon Engineering and ICOOR. Key points from the paper include useful insights regarding the need for standardisation, the significance of actual collaboration, the need for improvement of data literacy, as well as the prominent need for technological integration, to achieve a true, seamless transition to a data-driven ecosystem.
