KEYSTONE Survey Unveils Stakeholder Needs and Barriers to Digital Innovation in EU Transport & Logistics

A detailed survey explored the digital needs and obstacles faced by enforcement authorities, logistics and terminal operators across the EU.

Over the course of a year, the KEYSTONE project engaged with 262 stakeholders to develop a comprehensive understanding of sectoral needs, best practices, and gaps in existing digital solutions. A detailed survey, conducted between September 2023 and March 2024, collected responses from 168 logistics operators, 18 rail terminals, and 76 enforcement authorities. The findings provide a solid foundation for shaping future initiatives.

On 2 December 2024, the KEYSTONE Project hosted the 2nd workshop at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Athens, Greece, alongside its 4th Steering Committee Meeting. Organised by project partner Aethon Engineering, the event brought together 50+ representatives from EU-funded initiatives, freight terminal stakeholders, logistics professionals, enforcement authorities, and the European Commission. The workshop focused on advancements in transport digitisation and interoperability, as well as collaboration opportunities across EU projects.

Shaping a Digital Ecosystem: KEYSTONE Consortium Meets in Athens, Greece

On 2 and 3 December 2024, KEYSTONE partners united for a Steering Committee meeting as the project reached its midway point.

The event took place at the headquarters of Aethon Engineering, a KEYSTONE project partner, in Athens, Greece.

Over two days, representatives from all partner organisations reviewed progress, shared updates, celebrated milestones, and coordinated the next steps in advancing the project’s innovative solutions for developing a digital ecosystem for the transport and logistics sector.

Enforcement professionals are invited to submit their feedback before 31 March 2025.

Towards Paperless Freight Transport: EU takes a step forward with eFTI Regulation implementation

On 9 January 2025, the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission announced the first steps in implementing the eFTI Regulation.
