With a turnover in 2022 of 630 million Euros, over 5,300 employees and 200 offices in 70 countries worldwide, RINA is a member of key international organisations and an important contributor to the development of new legislative standards.

RINA's Energy team has extensive international experience in a wide range of engineering and consulting services, inspection, quality assurance and quality control, site supervision and certification.

We work with operators, project developers, banks and investors, and EPC contractors, from the conceptual phase to the operating phase of the plants, to maximize their operability, reliability and safety, reducing the risks for human life and the environment and at the same time minimising maintenance costs, supporting customers until their shutdown and decommissioning.

We offer site characterisation, advisory services, engineering, inspections, and site supervision services for all kinds of plants and infrastructures in the energy sector. Skills in such diversified plants and systems, combined with skills in the field of permitting, HSE and materials, as well as know-how and partnerships gained thanks to the participation in multiple European research projects, make RINA a primary player in the energy transition underway, both in scope of projects for the upgrading of existing infrastructures and plants (for example methane pipelines to be converted for the transport of H2 or CO2), and in the development of new projects related to the production, storage, transport and use of new energy carriers, including hydrogen, methanol and ammonia.

The infrastructure and mobility business offers all services related to feasibility and design, construction supervision, PMC and Asset Integrity services for Infrastructure, Buildings and Urban Development, Transport & Mobility projects supporting public administrations and contractors with their ambitious and innovative implementation needs.

Public, Government and Institutional Buildings, roads and highways, railway, metro, LRT and bus system development, ports and marine facilities, hydraulics and dams projects are developed using innovative and technological solutions, digital delivery, and advanced management tools. Our dynamic and qualified staff is characterised by technical excellence, a multidisciplinary approach, and timely delivery skills, both for desk studies and field activities.

We are innovators, planners, consultants, designers, and integrators of transport and mobility projects, helping our clients to bring state-of-the-art technology to infrastructure, transport, mobility, and logistics projects, keeping pace with the energy transition challenge with respect to sustainability, efficiency, and safety targets.

This is the key success factor together with the capability to act as a reliable partner both for private and public clients. We promote connections between people and goods through geographies as a core element of progress, development, and the growth of global communities

With a long track record in the implementation of railway, metro, LRT and bus systems, we deliver our services to clients worldwide, both in developed countries and emerging regions, covering the entire lifecycle of the project from the early phases of demand and cost analyses, conceptual design and definition of preliminary specifications, to detailed design, design verification, optimisation, validation, assessment, system acceptance, project management and systems engineering.

The Industry business unit provides high-added value integrated services to all industries, with a special focus on manufacturing, steel and heavy industry, aerospace, and defence.
