Meet Tiziana Campisi

Tiziana Campisi, PhD, is an Assistant Professor/Lecturer in Transport Systems at the Department of Engineering and Architecture, Kore University of Enna (Italy). She holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Catania and a Master’s degree (cum laude) in Civil Protection Engineering from the Kore University of Enna. She also obtained a PhD in Architecture of Mobility Systems (Cycle XXIV) from the Kore University of Enna, Italy.

She is an expert in transport supply and demand analysis (passenger and freight), social exclusion and gender gap analysis, risk analysis and impact mitigation in the infrastructure sector, and last-mile logistics. She has participated as a manager and expert in numerous national and international projects in the field of transport and mobility.

She has published more than 190 manuscripts in international journals and indexed conference proceedings. She is a member of several editorial boards, Editor-in-Chief of the indexed Open Transportation Journal (Bentham), and a reviewer for several international journals and conferences.

She is Vice-President of the WiMIT association and has held numerous positions in industry associations and professional societies over several years. Since 2022, she has been included in the ‘World’s Top 2% Scientists’ list compiled by Stanford University.
