Meet Irina di Ruocco

Irina di Ruocco is a civil and environmental engineer specialised in transport and urban planning. She holds a PhD in Economics and currently works in research and consulting on sustainable mobility, logistics, and infrastructure. She is a Teaching Experts in Economics at the University of Suor Orsola Benincasa, Naples and Research Fellow at the University of Trieste. With over seven years of experience in national and European projects, she collaborates with universities, public institutions, and private companies.

Her expertise includes data analysis, environmental and territorial assessments, mobility planning, and innovation in transport systems. She has contributed to studies on high-speed rail, port digitalization, and last-mile logistics. Irina di Ruocco regularly publishes in technical and scientific journals and participate in conferences on sustainable cities, intramodality, and spatial justice. She has also taught and delivered seminars at universities and professional bodies. Skilled in GIS, CAD, and traffic simulation tools, she adopts an interdisciplinary approach that blends technical knowledge with participatory and place-based methodologies.
