The KEYSTONE Final Event featuring insights from the sister SETO, will take place under the umbrella of the Transport Research Arena 2026 (TRA 2026), hosted in Budapest, Hungary, on 19 May 2026.

The event under the title “From Data to Action: Enabling Paperless and Smart Digital Enforcement Compliance in Transport & Logistics - Key Lessons and Next Steps from the EU-Funded KEYSTONE and SETO Projects”, will present key results from the KEYSTONE and SETO projects, including advanced digital solutions for smarter, paperless, greener, safer and more efficient enforcement compliance in transport and logistics operations.

  •  This session explores how operators and enforcement authorities can collaborate more effectively in a digitalised freight ecosystem. It addresses challenges such as fragmented systems, legacy processes and complex data exchange across Europe. The discussion highlights the role of common standards, interoperable platforms and lessons from KEYSTONE and SETO. It also considers the impact of emerging technologies on compliance, enforcement and sustainability, as well as the need to build trust and reduce administrative burden.

The discussion will provide practical insights into what worked, what didn’t, and why—helping bridge the gap between pilot testing and real-world deployment.
